Arts Brève
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THE ARTS AND LIBRARIES
"I am so proud to introduce my new platform to libraries and beyond. Over the years, my invaluable experience working in libraries and Lincoln Center has taught me that library patrons from all walks of life deserve the highest arts experience whether through programming, the library’s collection, or databases. The AB is short for Arts Brève, a French term meaning arts briefly. The operatic diva in me chose the French term for flare and business purposes. This new platform brings the arts to libraries with helpful and quality content offering programming suggestions and tips on collection development in the arts. I am inspired by my personal path to opera, art and classical music through beloved libraries."

ARTS IN LIBRARIES
Summer 2024
Summer can be quite eventful and uneventful at the same time. Patrons can be away on vacation or perhaps enjoying a staycation in town. It's a wonderful time to offer arts programming in the library or suggestions for future trips to explore on their own.
Bring the Arts into Your Library this Summer
It may be Spring- but Summer is already here. As a programmer, the upcoming season is always in the rearview mirror creeping upon you before the actual newsletter or press release goes out to your patrons. Below are some arts programs I created and outsourced to an art professional to present or plan on presenting myself this summer.

Create Your Summer Art Adventure: Part 2
Lunch & Art presented by Tanisha Mitchell
Did you recently visit an amazing art exhibit in your summer travels? Join Tanisha for a lively discussion about your art visit and bring a photo or two of your recent art experience. Light refreshments will be served for in-person attendees only.
Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, the Ice Princess
July is officially the summer slowdown with vacation and relaxation. Summer is a popular time to choose opera set in beautiful foreign lands.
Turandot was Puccini's last opera, which he left unfinished before his death. Set in Ancient China, Turandot is the ice princess who adamantly keeps love away from her by offering riddles to her suitors with fatal consequences. The opera features some of Puccini's most memorable arias including the "tenor's anthem" Nessun Dorma.
Arts on a Dime:
Create a Luxurious Arts Experience for Less

ARTS IN LIBRARIES
Fall 2024
September marks the end of the summer and the beginning of Fall. Fall is officially the opening of the performing arts season that includes Classical Music, Opera and Broadway. Fall art exhibits also open across the United States marking a new visual art season. Oftentimes, I choose programming that reflects what's opening in the local area and the time of the year.
